Vision

Moonta and District will be recognised as a progressive township that protects, enhances and develops its assets, resources and services to provide and maintain a quality lifestyle, economic growth and future prosperity for its community.

Mission

The Moonta and District Progress Association will, with respect to the Moonta township and surrounding district, identify, develop and use all available resources and apply best practice methods to;

1. Promote, protect and help develop its assets, infrastructure and community services.
2. Promote and develop a quality community lifestyle.
3. Promote and protect its heritage, natural resources and environment.
4. Promote and develop tourism, economic growth and employment opportunities.

Profile

The Moonta and District Progress Association (MDPA) works collaboratively with members, local residents, Community Clubs and Groups, local business and the appointed Councillors and has a close working relationship with the District Council of the Copper Coast and other Government and Community Support Organisations.

The MDPA seeks to fairly acknowledge all sections of the community. It respects the views and the rights of individuals and minority groups, supports and promotes the majority view of the community and always acts in the community's best interest.
