Opening Night at the Opera

26 November 2010

They say opening nights are special and last night under the stars at Moonta Mines was no exception.

The colourful and spectacular event featuring powerful performances by the highly credentialed Cast and Adelaide Art Orchestra was made even more memorable by the ambience of the rustic setting, the clever use of open space to envelope and engage the audience and the melodious voices and period dress of our home town "peasant" chorus.

This is truly the highlight of the Copper Coast's Sesquicentenary calendar. Don't miss the experience of seeing one of the worlds favourite Operas sung in english and performed in a style unique to Moonta's historic location.

Its certainly worth the trip and with Friday and Saturday's performance to go, there is still time to get a ticket and maybe a dinner premium ticket if you are quick.
