Playtime at Port Hughes

Less than two hours away from Adelaide, Port Hughes is a picturesque coastal town with pristine beaches, clear blue green water and fantastic jetty and boat fishing. Ideally located only minutes away from the historic town of Moonta, its magnificent South Beach is one of the prettiest beaches on Yorke Peninsula. The town jetty is very popular with fisherman and there are boat launching facilities and a number of deep-sea charters to choose from.

The waters around Port Hughes are clear and calm, and are perfect for family activities. Enjoy jetty or boat fishing, safe swimming, kayaking and other water sports or take a coastal walking trail to Simms Cove or a stroll along South Beach towards Cape Elizabeth.

There are plenty of accommodation options within walking distance of the beach and jetty and a local general store and tavern with dining facilities, a children's playground and plenty of car and boat trailer parking along the foreshore.
