Safety Fence for Wheal Hughes Observation Area

A safety fence has been installed at the Wheal Hughes Mine Observation Area to improve visitor safety and enable tourists to access the area unsupervised.

The fence upgrade was initated by the Wheal Hughes Moonta Committee with the support of a $3200 grant from the District Council of the Copper Coast. The National Trust Moonta Branch also contributed towards the project along with the Moonta & District Progress Association.
